Winter Wonderland – CIC #584 Reminder

Hello friends! Today is the beginning of a new challenge over on the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog! The theme for challenge #584 is Winter Wonderland.

I created my card featuring the Simon Hurley Winter Wonderland Stamp Set (what a perfect match!).

I first created my background by ink-blending Simon Says Stamp Royal ink and splattering with Liquitex Titanium White Ink for a snowy appearance.

Once the background was done, I stamped a sentiment and image using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink. I fussy-cut the image and then adhered it to the background using Bearly Art Glue.

To finish, I added two matching mats to add interest.

Hello friends! Today’s card is a clean and simple retro holiday card featuring the Simon Hurley Silly Santas Stamp Set.

To create this card, I stamped an image and sentiment using Candied Apple Distress Oxide and mounted my card panel on a red mat and A2 card base using Bearly Art Glue.

It is a very easy card to create, yet also a fun one that offers some cheer and joy this holiday season!

This post contains affiliate links that are of no extra cost to you. Using my affiliate links simply helps me to keep doing what I love – thank you!

Hello friends! This is your reminder of the current challenge happening on the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog! The theme for challenge #582 is “Home Sweet Home.”

I used Simon Hurley’s Winter Wonderland Stamp Set to create this card.

After stamping a house image using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink on my card panel, I coloured the house and snow using the following Ohuhu and Copic alcohol markers:

Ohuhus:

  • Reds: R1, R2, R8
  • Greens: G2, G7, GY43
  • Greys: BG3

Copics:

  • Greys: C1, C3
  • Browns: E29, E33, E37, E49

Once done colouring, I created a mask for the house and ink blended a snowy sky using Broken China Distress Oxide splattered with Liquitex Titanium White Acrylic Ink.

To finish off, I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set and adhered my elements together using Bearly Art Glue.

Hello friends! Today is the beginning of a new challenge over on the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog! The theme for challenge #578 is plaid – the perfect theme for the start of the fall season!

I first started by ink-blending Tim Holtz Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide and Simon Hurley’s Shady on a card front.

I then added a plaid pattern using the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Plaid Stencil and Tim Holtz Distress Black Opaque Texture Paste. I applied a thin layer of the texture paste using a palette knife.

For the sentiment, I stamped an image from the Simon Says Stamp Best Year Yet stamp set using Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Intense Black Ink and adhered it using Scrapbook Adhesives foam tape.

Simple, Two-Tone Card – Penguin Palace

Hello friends! Today’s card is my submission for Penguin Palace challenge #26 – summer moodboard!

I love the beachy colours of this challenge and just knew I had to participate! I decided to use the recently released My Favourite Chapter digi stamp featuring this adorable dinosaur to complete my submission!

I coloured my little dinosaur friends using the following Ohuhu alcohol markers to match the colours of the challenge:

  • Blues: B290, PB9, PB11
  • Yellows: Y230, Y270, YR1

To create the soft gradient in the background, I used Simon Hurley’s Remember Me Ink.

I then chose a matching colour of cardstock from Neenah Astrobright to complete the card.

Cute Mother’s Day Card! – RAM Stamps

Hi friends, and Happy Mother’s Day! I know that Mother’s Day can be a difficult day for many, so I wish love and peace to everyone today.

Today’s card is a Mother’s Day card I made for my own amazing mother featuring the Canadian Beaver digital stamps from RAM Stamps!

After printing out my digi stamp (along with some extra leaves), I used the following Ohuhu alcohol markers to colour the images:

Beavers: E240, E220, E210, WG050, E310, E170

Wood: E240, E220, E210

Leaves: GY3, GY1, GY4

Once the colouring was finished, I used the following distress oxides along with the cloudy stencil from Lawn Fawn and scene maker stencil from Simon Hurley to create a scene for my beavers:

  • Salty Ocean
  • Twisted Citron
  • Mowed Lawn

I also lightly sprayed the sky to give it a fun effect.

Once I attached all the elements on the card front, I then made the inside of the card using some more leaves along with a matching sentiment. This is my first time doing the inside of a card and I had a lot of fun doing it!

Simple Wedding Card – Spellbinders “Metamorphosis” Simon Hurley Collection

Hi friends! Earlier this week, I posted a rainbow thank you card using the Stained Window die-cut from Spellbinders designed by Simon Hurley. I had so much fun making that card that I decided to create another card for a different occasion – a wedding card!

This card is much simpler than the other one I made – first, I die-cut the window from white cardstock and glued it onto a white card front on a white A7 card base. Then, I used the Lawn Fawn Big Scripty Words Hot Foil Plates and Spellbinders Silver Glimmer Hot Foil to foil the sentiment “congrats.” To finish, I cut out my sentiment and glued it to the window die cut.

I just loved using this die so much! I will definitely be using it for more cards in the future!

Peaceful Country Scene – Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #147

Hi friends! Today’s card is for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #147: “Create a scene: city vs country,” and I have decided to do country! While I am much more of a city person, a country-themed card came more naturally to me.

Using the Lawn Fawn Cloudy Stencil and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide, I first created a simple sky scene on the card front. I used my Cricut cutting machine to cut out the circle on the card front. I then used the Simon Hurley Create Scene Maker Stencil and Mask along with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide to create a simple grass field.

I used Lawn Fawn Jet Black Premium Ink Pad to stamp several images and sentiments from the Scootin’ By stamp set. I coloured the images using the following Ohuhu alcohol markers:

Scooter: R1, R2, NG03

Bunny: YR240, YR250, Y120

Balloons: BG3, BG4, RV260, RV270, Y030, Y050

I also die-cut a couple of clouds from the Beary Rainy Day set to add to the card. Once everything was die-cut and ready, I assembled all the elements to create the perfect country scene!
