Once Upon a Time – CIC #586

Hello friends! Today is the start of a new challenge over on the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog! The theme for challenge #586 is Fairy Tales.

To create this card, I first stamped an image from the Simon Says Stamp Once Upon a Time Stamp using their Intense Black Ink and coloured it using Ohuhu alcohol markers and Prismacolor Coloured Pencils

Once coloured, I created the background by ink-blending Simon Says Stamp Royal Ink and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide before splattering with Dr. Ph Martin’s Bleed Proof White.

To finish the card, I stamped a matching sentiment and glued the elements together using Bearly Art Glue.

Create it Three Ways IG Hop – Simon Says Stamp

This post contains affiliate links that are of no extra cost to you. Using my affiliate links simply helps me to keep doing what I love – thank you!

Hello friends! Today I am participating in a hop over on Instagram called Create it Three Ways, a monthly hop where we choose a category and create three different cards! The theme for this month is “Autumn/Spooky Season.”

Each card was created using the Simon Says Stamp Too Cute to Spook Die and Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxides. Using the Distress Oxides, I created a candy corn colour scheme for each card – perfect for a spooky season!

The three cards I made are a shaker card, a CAS card, and one with vellum!

It’s always fun to experiment with large dies such as this one and figure out different ways to use the same products.

Too Cute to Spook! – Simon Says Stamp

This post contains affiliate links that are of no extra cost to you. Using my affiliate links simply helps me to keep doing what I love – thank you!

Hello friends! Who doesn’t love cute, monochromatic Halloween cards?

Lately, I have been loving monochromatic cards, so why not combine monochrome and Halloween together to make some fun cards! There are definitely more of these to come this month.

This card features the Simon Says Stamp Too Cute to Spook Wafer Die and the Simon Says Stamp Too Cute to Spook Stamp Set!

I first ink-blended my background with Villainous Potion Distress Oxide and splattered it with Liquitex Titanium White Acrylic Ink and water. I also ink-blended a scrap piece of white cardstock with Villainous Potion for the sentiment.

After I die-cut my sentiment, I stamped an image from the Simon Says Stamp Too Cute to Spook Stamp Set using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and cut it out. I used Ohuhu marker P5 to colour the ghost’s cheeks.

Once everything was ready, I adhered everything together using Bearly Art Glue.

Hello friends! Today is the beginning of a new challenge over on the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog! The theme for challenge #578 is plaid – the perfect theme for the start of the fall season!

I first started by ink-blending Tim Holtz Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide and Simon Hurley’s Shady on a card front.

Simple Splattered Card with Embossing Powder! – WOW! Embossing Powder & Simon Says Stamp

Hello friends! Today’s card features embossing powder – something I love but don’t use enough!

Using the Simon Says Stamp Best Year Yet Stamp Set, I stamped a sentiment and used WOW! Embossing Black Magic Powder to emboss the sentiment.

I then splattered a card front using black and metallic gold acrylic paint and a Royal & Langnickel fan brush to match the black and gold of the embossing powder. Once the paint was dry, I stamped some “sparkles” from the Best Year Yet stamp set in black and added a few spots of sparkles using Gold Stickles.

To finish, I used foam tape to elevate the sentiment and attached the card front to an A2 card base.

This card was a really simple one to make but I love how it turned out! The sparkles and paint splatters goes perfectly with the Black Magic embossing powder.
