Hello friends, and Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! This is your reminder of the current challenge happening over on the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog! The theme for challenge #579 is burnt orange, green, and sky blue. This challenge is also being sponsored by Laurie Furnell Ink!

For this card, I am using their adorable Autumn Mouse Digi Stamp Set.

After printing my image and sentiment, I used the following Ohuhus and Copics to colour the image:

Ohuhu

  • Blues: B220, B250, B260
  • Greens: G1, G3, G7
  • Oranges: Y4, Y10, YR4, YR5
  • Pinks: RV260, RV270

Copics:

  • Greys: W1, W3, W5, W7
  • Browns: E15, E33, E37

Once coloured, I created a simple scene for the background using the Lawn Fawn Cloudy Stencil and Spiced Marmalade and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides.

To finish, I glued all the elements using Bearly Art Glue

Hey Pumpkin 🎃 – CIC #579

Hello friends! Today is the beginning of a new challenge over on the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog! The theme for challenge #579 is burnt orange, green, and sky blue. This challenge is also being sponsored by Laurie Furnell Ink!

I created my card using their adorable Autumn Mouse Digi Stamp Set.

I first started by printing my image and sentiment and coloured the image using the following Copics and Ohuhu Alcohol Markers:

Copics:

  • Greys: W1, W3, W5, W7

Ohuhus:

  • Blues: B220, B250, B260
  • Greens: G1, G3, G7
  • Oranges: Y4, Y10, YR4, YR5
  • Pinks: RV260, RV270

Once coloured, I created the background using pumpkin stamps from the Simon Says Stamp Too Cute To Spook Stamp Set and the emboss resist technique. After stamping the pumpkins with Sizzix clear embossing ink, I used Ranger Clear Embossing powder. Once melted, I ink-blended using Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide.

To finish, I glued all the elements using Bearly Art Glue

Monochromatic Plaid – CIC #578

Hello friends! Today is the beginning of a new challenge over on the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog! The theme for challenge #578 is plaid – the perfect theme for the start of the fall season!

I first started by ink-blending Tim Holtz Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide and Simon Hurley’s Shady on a card front.

I then added a plaid pattern using the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Plaid Stencil and Tim Holtz Distress Black Opaque Texture Paste. I applied a thin layer of the texture paste using a palette knife.

For the sentiment, I stamped an image from the Simon Says Stamp Best Year Yet stamp set using Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Intense Black Ink and adhered it using Scrapbook Adhesives foam tape.

Once printed, I used the following Ohuhu alcohol markers and Copics to colour the image:

Hello friends! Today is the beginning of a new challenge over on the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog! The theme for challenge #577 is bears. This challenge is also being sponsored by PJ Moore Illustrations!

For my card, I used their adorable bear and moose digital stamp.

Once printed, I used the following Ohuhu and Copic alcohol markers to colour the image:

Once coloured, I created the background using Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide and splattered with water and Liquitex Titanium White Acrylic Ink.

As for the sentiment, I used the Spellbinders Hummingbird Sentiments Stamp Set from Bibi Cameron and stamped it using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink.

More Turquoise, Red, and Yellow Fun! – CIC #576 Reminder

Hello friends! This is your reminder of the current ongoing challenge on the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog! Challenge #576 is a colour challenge, and the colours you must include in your card are turquoise, red, and yellow. CraftyScrappers are also sponsoring this challenge!

After printing out a sentiment and images, I coloured the images using the following Copics and Ohuhu Alcohol markers:

Ohuhu

  • Blues: BG4, BG68, PB7

Copics

  • Reds/Pinks: R20, R22
  • Yellows: Y02, Y06, Y13, Y15
  • Greys: W1, W3, W5, W7

As for the background, I created a paw print cut-out using the Lucky Birthday Wishes Stamp set (this was done in Cricut Design Space). Behind the paw print, I ink-blended Candied Apple, Mustard Seed, and Broken China Distress Oxide – the perfect gradient for this challenge!

After attaching the image with foam squares and my sentiment with Bearly Art Glue, I mounted my card front on several matching layers of Neenah Astrobright cardstock.

Colourful Doggy Birthday! – CIC #576

Hello friends! Today is the beginning of a new challenge over on the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog! Challenge #576 is a colour challenge and the colours you must include in your card are turquoise, red, and yellow. This challenge is also being sponsored by CraftyScrappers!

After printing out a sentiment and images, I coloured the images using the following Copics and Ohuhu Alcohol markers:

Ohuhu:

  • Blues: BG4, BG68, PB7

Copics:

  • Reds/Pinks: R08, R14, R22, R27, R32
  • Yellows: Y02, Y06, Y13, Y15
  • Greys: C1, C3, C5

After colouring, I created a rectangle cut-out in Cricut Design Space and cut it out using a Cricut cutting machine. I added strips of colour using Candied Apple, Mustard Seed, and Broken China Distress Oxide to match the colours of the dogs. This element with the dogs attached is then adhered with foam squares.

Lastly, I mounted my card front on several matching layers of Neenah Astrobright cardstock.

CAS Black & White Florals with Altenew – CIC #575 Reminder

Hello friends! Today is the beginning of an exciting new challenge over on the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog! The theme for challenge #575 is add a bow/ribbon and our sponsor for this challenge is Altenew!

I had a lot of fun creating this card using the Build-A-Garden: Dear Dahlias Bundle from Altenew. This bundles includes a stamp, stencil, die set, and mini blending brush.

Using the stamp set, I stamped the floral image twice on a card front using Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink.

I then added a strip of vellum with a strip of twine ribbon and a bow on top.

I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set and adhered it to a piece of black cardstock to match the the rest of the card.

To finish, I glued everything together and placed my card front on a piece of black cardstock.

Florals and Bows with Altenew – CIC #575

Hello friends! Today is the beginning of an exciting new challenge over on the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog! The theme for challenge #575 is add a bow/ribbon and our sponsor for this challenge is Altenew!

I had a lot of fun creating this card using the Build-A-Garden: Dear Dahlias Bundle from Altenew. This bundles includes a stamp, stencil, die set, and mini blending brush.

Using the die set, I first die-cut three sets of flowers and added some ink blending to teach petal using the mini blending brush and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide before assembling them.

To put the flower in, I created a mini envelope using kraft cardstock. I then added some ribbon and a bow to the envelope.

To create the background, I used Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide to create a subtle fade of colour.

To finish the card, I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set included in the bundle.

Lime & Teal Giraffes! – CIC #575 Reminder

Hello friends! Here’s your reminder that there is still time for Cupcake Inspirations challenge #574, which is a lime, teal, and white colour challenge.

For my card, I chose to feature the Alex Syberia Designs Giraffe-ic Friends Stamp Set! After having stamped some images from the set, I coloured them using the following Copics:

  • Greens: YG03, YG13, YG17
  • Blues: BG09, BG15, BG18
  • Greys: C1, C3, C5

Once coloured and cut out, I attached the coloured images to the card front and stamped a sentiment.
