Hello friends! I am so excited to share that I recently had my first card published in the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine! Yay!! The card I created features the Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Pawsome Holiday stamp set.

I first created the background for the card using Lost Shadow Distress Oxide splattered with white acrylic paint.

Then, I stamped my image and sentiment and coloured my image using the following Copics:

  • Reds/Pinks: R08, R14, R27, R02, YR00
  • Greens: G07, G24, G28
  • Yellows: Y02, Y06, Y11
  • Greys: C1, C3, C5, W5, W7, W9
  • Browns: E11,E15, E18, E29, E33, E37, E49

Once coloured, I then cut out my image using Fiskars 6″ Spring-Assisted Scissors and adhered it to my background using Bearly Art Glue.

Home Sweet Home – CIC #582

Hello friends! Today is the beginning of a new challenge over on the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog! The theme for challenge #582 is Home Sweet Home.

I created my card using the Kraftin’ Kimmie Holiday Village Stamp Set.

After stamping my images and sentiment in Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink, I used the following Ohuhu alcohol markers to colour the house:

  • Red: R3
  • Yellow: Y050
  • Green: G5
  • Browns: Y12, E300

Once coloured, I masked off the house and ink-blended a sky using Faded Jeans Distress Oxide. I also added some snowflakes using a white Jelly Roll Pen.

To finish, I used Bearly Art Glue to adhere my card panel to my A2 card base.

Simple Winter Scene – Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps

Hello everyone, and happy November! While I love Halloween and the month of October, the first of November (for me, at least) is the start of the Holiday season, which also means the start of making lots of Christmas cards!

To kick off the Holiday season, I’m having some fun with the adorable Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Mooseltoe Stamp Set.

I first stamped an image and sentiment and coloured the image using the following Copics:

  • Blues: B32, B34, B37
  • Browns: E11, E15, E18, E29, E33, E37, E49
  • Greys: C1, C3, C5
  • Blacks: 110

Once coloured, I created the background by masking a square on my card panel and ink-blended a blue sky using Salty Ocean Distress Oxide. To turn my sky into a snowy, winter scene, I splattered with water and white acrylic paint.

To attach my image and sentiment, I used Bearly Art Glue.

Creating a Scene Using Alcohol Markers! – Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps

Hi friends! For today’s card, I am trying something new… creating a one layered card using masking! I’ve always been a little intimidated by masking but decided to give it a shot and let’s just say it won’t be my last time doing it!

After having stamped my images from the Love Bugs stamp set from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps, I used Squeezed Lemon, Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade to create a glowing sunset using the Scene Maker stencil and mask from Simon Hurley Create.

Once I had created a sunset, I used the following Ohuhu alcohol markers to create a scene for the bugs:

Lady Bugs: NG06, CG070, CG050, R8, R2, R1

Flower: E310, Y12, E170, Y2, Y1, Y3, GY42, G240

Hills: GY173, GY6, G220, G240, GY42, G7, GG020

Sky: B220, B260, B120, Y030, YR030

After colouring, I stamped a sentiment from the Love Bugs stamp set onto the sun. To complete the card, I used tape runner to attach the finished card to a larger panel of black cardstock and then to an A2 card base.
